You can undergo life-changing treatment here at Rogers Behavioral Health. Spiritual care can help support and guide you on your journey toward a healthier future. The Rogers team is respectful of all religious and spiritual beliefs, and we encourage you to explore your own personal values for a more well-rounded wellness and healing process.
What Is Spiritual Care?
While spiritual care is not for everyone, we provide it if it is right for you. It can address your spiritual or religious needs during treatment. Spiritual needs may include unresolved life questions that therapists can’t answer, such as how you should make sense of your mental health situation or how you define good and bad. Or, you may be looking for the continued sense of hope and community offered by your religion, which spiritual care can offer.
We offer support if you are seeking to define meaning and values for yourself, desire a stronger connection to something bigger than yourself, and are looking for connectedness to others and/or the broader universe.
Spiritual Care at Rogers
While in inpatient or residential care at Rogers, you have access to the following resources, depending on your treatment goals, program, medical status, and location:
- Spiritual care reflection groups
- One-on-one consultations with a chaplain
- Chapel, including a spiritual resource library (West Allis, Brown Deer, Oconomowoc)
- On-site ecumenical worship services (Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, Easter, Christmas)
- Transportation to churches for worship (in selected programs)
- On-site one-on-one sessions with community clergy
Each member of the spiritual care team has advanced training, preparing them to use an inclusive approach in meeting patients, wherever that may be, on their spiritual path.
Our spiritual care department is funded entirely by the Rogers Behavioral Health Foundation.
Inclusive, Supportive Spiritual Therapy
We understand that spirituality and religion are important aspects of many people’s lives. That’s why our spiritual care team is dedicated to providing inclusive and supportive care to all patients, regardless of their religious or spiritual beliefs. We strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for individuals to explore their values and beliefs without judgment.
In addition to offering support during treatment, our spiritual care team also provides resources and tools for patients to continue their spiritual journey after they leave treatment. This can include suggestions for finding a local faith community or connecting with online resources.
A Holistic Approach to Treatment
Patients engage in meaningful treatment that addresses their needs and goals for the future. Spiritual care integrates with treatment to create a holistic approach to mental and behavioral health.
Many patients benefit from incorporating spiritual care in treatment. By addressing their spiritual needs, we can help them find a deeper sense of purpose and connection, which can aid in their overall healing and health journey.
At Rogers Behavioral Health, we believe in treating the whole person for long-lasting wellness. We know that spiritual care may not be the right fit for everyone, but we strive to offer a comprehensive treatment approach that meets the unique needs of each patient.
