Healing with Our Eating Disorder Treatment
In eating disorder treatment, we focus on nutritional rehabilitation and restoring healthy weight when necessary. You or a loved one will receive thorough assessments in psychological, medical, nutritional, nursing, and social services, which guide a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs.
Patient and family education is part of all treatment plans. In addition to nutritional rehabilitation, you or your child will likely work through an intensive cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) model emphasizing graduated exposure and response prevention (ERP). The use of CBT and ERP has outstanding outcomes, with patients achieving and maintaining progress over a long period of time.
We also use behavioral activation (BA), which helps those with co-occurring mood disorders re-engage in life. Another component of treatment includes our experiential therapy, including horticultural, recreational, and art therapy, which strengthens coping skills and promotes expressing thoughts in more constructive ways than disordered eating patterns.
