Medication Management Program

If medication is part of your treatment plan, medication management can transform your life. Medication management services can ensure that you receive the correct dosage and type of medication to treat your condition. All of our therapy programs are designed with your safety and success in mind.

Why Medication Management Is Important

You should never feel ashamed if medication is part of your care. We understand that sometimes there is a stigma around using medication. However, medication can be extremely helpful in decreasing symptoms of mental health conditions.

With proper management, mental health medications can be effective and safe. Our psychiatric medication management program is designed to provide support so that you can experience the full benefits of your medication.

Combining Medication with Other Treatment Options

Medication management should not be seen as the only treatment option, but rather as one part of your overall care. Our team works closely with you to develop a meaningful treatment plan that may include therapy, support groups, and other services in addition to medication.

Relying on medications alone can sometimes be risky and lead to a return of symptoms. Over time, the body may react differently to medications, or if a person stops taking them and does not have a toolbox of skills, such as those developed in therapy, they may not be equipped to overcome life’s challenges. Therapy is still the foundation of the care we provide at Rogers and our well-rounded care is designed to help you shine your brightest.

Your Psychiatric Care Treatment Plan

During your appointments with a provider at Rogers, you will:

  • Complete a psychiatric evaluation.
  • Discuss your symptoms, how your medication is working, and any side effects that you may be experiencing.
  • Explore changing medication dosages, switching medications, or adding something new if necessary.
  • Determine your next steps for ongoing medication management and care, which may include additional appointments.

Each appointment is an opportunity to discuss any changes in your symptoms, review the effectiveness of your medication and dosage, and address any concerns or questions you may have. Outpatient psychiatric care—including medication management—is also available for Wisconsin residents, providing additional support outside of inpatient or residential treatment.
