Taryn Abrams, MD, is a child and adolescent and adult psychiatrist at Rogers Behavioral Health in Atlanta, where she provides care for youth and adult patients with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and OCD and OC-spectrum disorders, as well as telemedicine coverage for other Rogers locations.
Dr. Abrams earned her bachelor’s degree with honors in International Comparative Studies and Spanish at Duke University where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. She completed medical school at the Medical College of Georgia and her post-graduate residency training in Adult Psychiatry at Emory University. Following residency, she continued at Emory for fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, where she served as a chief resident. Prior to joining Rogers, Dr. Abrams worked with an interdisciplinary team treating children and young adults with eating disorders. Dr. Abrams is board certified in psychiatry and holds an adjunct faculty position at Emory University where she is active in training residents and child psychiatry fellows.
Dr. Abrams has experience in multiple treatment settings from inpatient hospital to outpatient care and research. She has trained in multiple psychotherapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, psychodynamic therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, family therapy, and parent training. She is a member of the Georgia Psychiatric Physician Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
