Peter DeVries, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist who serves as medical director for Adult Inpatient and Residential Eating Disorder Recovery in Oconomowoc.
After completing his undergraduate education at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, he earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He completed his general psychiatry residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Dr. DeVries is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, Academy of Wisconsin Psychiatric Association, and Wisconsin Medical Society. He has presented at local, regional, and national events, and his research and clinical interests include agitation management, posttraumatic stress disorder, and eating disorders.
Dr. DeVries has volunteered as a mental health advocate, educator, and Spanish interpreter. An avid runner, he was a mentor for Girls on the Run of Southeastern Wisconsin and qualified on multiple occasions for the Boston Marathon.
