Cuong Tieu, MD, is a dually board-certified psychiatrist who serves as the medical director of the OCD and Anxiety Center Children’s Residential Care ate Rogers Behavioral Health in Oconomowoc. Dr. Tieu specializes in treating children with emotional, learning, or behavioral difficulties stemming from psychiatric illness, medical illness, learning disabilities and developmental disabilities.
Dr. Tieu completed his undergraduate training in biochemistry at Northwestern University in Illinois. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he also completed his general psychiatry residency and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry, serving as chief fellow. Dr. Tieu has worked in multiple practice settings, providing psychiatric care ranging from acute inpatient services to clinic-based outpatient services.
A member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Dr. Tieu emphasizes the importance of educating and partnering with families, as well as utilizing pharmacogenetics (the study of genetic differences that can affect individual responses to drugs) to create custom treatment plans.
