“I had my hesitations about trying Rogers because it’s scary to get help. But I am so glad that I did not let this stop me from getting the help I so desperately needed.
I started telehealth OCD and Anxiety partial hospitalization care (PHP) in November of 2021. It was a huge adjustment as I was used to having my own very flexible schedule and I had never participated in any sort of intense therapy or treatment programs for my severe panic disorder with agoraphobia. After about two weeks in the program, I would wake up each morning looking forward to logging on and doing the program for the day.
Exposure and response prevention (ERP) was so key for me. I was scared to death to be exposed to the things I so feared, but my amazing therapist broke things down into tiny baby steps to make them more doable. Each little step I accomplished felt like such a huge victory to me!
The program’s group time was also so beneficial to me. I had a completely open and vulnerable group that I connected with so well. For the first time in my life, I didn’t feel like I was alone in my mental health struggles. My therapists and group members grew to feel like family to me.
After finishing PHP, I moved the next step down to IOP, which was a great experience as well. This program helped me to keep working toward my goals and doing exposures while also preparing me for adjusting back to regular everyday life. I was so lucky to work with all of the amazing staff.
I am in complete recovery now. My panic disorder and agoraphobia is now rarely present in my life. Honestly, as cliché as it may sound, Rogers changed my life. I would highly recommend it with total confidence!”
